KORNATIKornati is a surreal dreamscape, a natural archipelago of more than 140 uninhabited islands so stunning in their random beauty that according to the legend, after the creation of the world, there were few stones still left in the God's hand, so he threw them over his shoulder into the sea and Kornati was born. Today the Kornati National Park occupies an area of about 220 km2 (54.000 acres). The unique Kornati sea bed attracts divers from all over Europe enjoy unforgettable adventures. Only licensed agents are allowed to take people to the Kornati Islands. Overnight stays are available at hotels and other places but you must get advance approval, which the agency handles. There are trips from Zadar, Sibenik and other places on the coast. The islands are really worth exploring, there are very good restaurants and of course that fabulous diving.
