NATIONAL PARKS

Croatia has eight national parks.  Each is remarkably different.  Some are islands, like lush Brijuni, richly-forested Mjlet and the moonscaped Kornati and others are tucked into the hills and mountains with spectacular waterfalls and lakes like Plitvice. All are national treasures and well-staffed with knowledgeable guides.  So get your map and plan to visit a bunch of your favorites—none are remote, so you can hang out on the beach vacation, take off to a national park and explore some ancient remains without having to drive all over creation. Enjoy
